Woodprotect 4800 is used to protect glass and non porous door frames during construction from bricklayers, painters, cleaners and anyone else who comes into contact with doors.
This economic Peelable coating is also used within the building industry for scratch and stain protection of tiling and other sanitary fitments and stainless steel. Work surfaces and valuable flooring such as floor tiles, marble and lacquered wooden floors can also be protected.

Typical applications include where a temporary protective coating is desired to protect the surface form damage, scratches, chipping and form exterior and interior environment. Depending on the thickness of the wet film; dry film thickness can range from one to ten mils. Thin films are clear while thicker films are translucent. The application of coatings will protect surfaces from paint overspray or damage during manufacturing and shipping. Woodprotect 4800 represents the ultimate in non-solvent, water borne, strippable coatings. Woodprotect 4800 does not contain VOCs.

Removal: Woodprotect 4800 can be removed by peeling. will turn white when wet but it will not come off unless peeled. Woodprotect 4800 is water resistant when it is dry film.
Safety & Handling: Avoid breathing vapors/mists that occur during spraying – wear a painter’s mask or other suitable respiratory device when applying this product. Avoid skin and eye contact. Do not allow product to freeze. Keep container closed when not in use. Store in a clean dry area with a minimum temperature of 50ºF.
Flammability: Water Resistant Woodprotect 4800 presents no fire hazard as received, during, or after application. Woodprotect 4800 is non-flammable in liquid or dry state.
Disposal: Protective Peelable coating Woodprotect 4800 is disposed like paint films ad other solid materials.
Health & Safety – The compound is non-toxic and non-flammable in the wet state. The dry film waste may be disposed of as low hazard. Please see separate Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS)
Storage – Store at temperatures between 5°C – 25°C. DO NOT ALLOW LIQUID TO FREEZE.
Patch Test: Because it is difficult to determine the type of substrate of the window or door frame such as type of acrylic, perform a small test first. This will determine effectiveness, coverage, and the approximate amount of time required for it to work.
Packaging: Woodprotect 4800 is available in 1gallon, 5 gallon, 55 gallon & 110 gal/220 gal disposable tote tanks. Totes feature an inner bladder that collapses as product is dispensed, ensuring that all products are usable over the life of the container in service.
Also available in different colors for additional costs.
One liter will cover approximately 4 square meters at a dry film thickness of 100 microns. You can also use following chart to calculate in mil thickness and gallon coverage.
